John Aitken is our founding and senior pastor of Faith Center Paducah. John and his wife Sarah enjoy a love-filled marriage, and are thankful for their blended family of seven, in addition to five beautiful grandchildren.
Pastors John and Sarah firmly believe that God is for people, no matter what they’ve been into or what life has thrown at them. They believe there’s hope for everyone who’s willing to truly give their lives to Him and to submit to following Him, and they count it a privilege and joy to shepherd some of the greatest hope dealers on the planet!
John and Sarah are committed to loving people fearlessly and leading them faithfully. When God gives a second chance, it is never second-rate. We’d love for you to join us this Sunday.
You can come as you are, whether you’re in a suit and tie or jeans and a T-shirt. We’re not hung up on wearing the “right” clothes or living in a specific neighborhood. We love God and we love people and we’re continually amazed at what God is doing through this church family.

Our Leadership Team
At Faith Center, we’re family. We operate on the basis of relationships, not rules. We believe all ministry flows out of relationships. As a family, we’re not a democracy (majority rule), therefore, decisions are not made by the majority vote of our members.
We follow the biblical form of government called Theocratic Rule (God rule). In a theocracy, all leaders are representative leaders for God and His kingdom, not their own selfish interests or personal benefit. God anoints and appoints a visionary leader (like Moses, David, Jesus, Peter, Paul) and surrounds that leader with a team of gifted and committed leaders to assist in the fulfillment of the mission.
Our leadership functions together with balance and accountability in a multi-layered structure for the health and growth of the family. Our leadership structure is comprised of the following:
- Apostolic Overseers – A Father’s covering and protection.
- Elders – Five-fold pastoral leadership equipping the family for ministry.
- Trustees – Financial leadership and stewardship.
